From London to Dubai - My Sustainability Journey
I’m Jinal Zaveri, a sustainability consultant based in Dubai, helping businesses turn environmental goals into practical action.

My career didn’t start in sustainability, I was a graphic designer until 2020, when I decided to follow what I’m truly passionate about: helping us reduce our environmental impact. I retrained, moved into corporate sustainability, and haven’t looked back since.
​
In London, I joined Aston Group, a building services company, where I spent over three years creating and leading their carbon management programme. Together, we exceeded our first-year emissions reduction target by cutting Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 33.29%, integrated electric vehicles into the fleet, rolled out energy-saving upgrades, and built a framework for long-term progress.

During this time, I was honoured with the Social Value Hero Award, recognising the impact of the sustainability initiatives I helped deliver.

Since relocating to the UAE, I’ve brought that same strategic, hands-on approach to local businesses guiding them through compliance with UAE climate laws, improving operational efficiency, and building internal engagement around sustainability.
My role isn’t to hand over a 50-page report that gathers dust. I make sustainability clear, strategic, and actionable so it becomes part of how a business operates, not just a box to tick.
